RENTAL POLICY

Information Packet Requests:
A complete packet with detailed information about each rental production is available. The packet includes set photos, groundplans, section drawing, crew requirements and a rental price quote.

Please direct all requests for information packets to:

Production Department
OperaDelaware
P.O. Box 432
Wilmington, DE 19899-0432
(302) 658-8063
Opinfo@operadel.org

In the event that you do not rent the scenery for a production, we request that the information packet be returned to OperaDelaware within 30 days of receipt. After 30 days a $50.00 replacement fee will be charged to you. Companies that rent scenery may keep the information packet until 30 days following the close of the production. The same $50.00 fee will apply if materials are not received within the 30-day period.

Sets may be placed "on hold" for rental for 30 days. After the 30-day period a rental agreement must be signed or the production will be released for other potential renters.

Technical Information:
OperaDelaware performs at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington, Delaware. The stage has a depth of 30 ft. and a 37-_ ft. opening.

Due to limited wing space and very limited fly space, all OperaDelaware sets are designed without "flying" components. Offstage scenery and props store easily and compactly.

Our sets are designed to be moved in one 48’ or two 24’ trucks.

Rental Charges:
Rental charges for scenery range from $7,000.00 to $12,000.00 depending on the production, the size of your theater and number of performances. In addition to the rental charge other non-negotiable costs to you include: a 10% design fee as well as a technical consultant fee of $350.00 per day plus round-trip airfare and accommodations. All costs associated with the loading and transportation of rented scenery are the responsibility of the using company.
